World Mental Health Day 2018

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world.

October is also our birthday month and this year, Furaha Mamas celebrates 2 years of MUMS HELPING MUMS!

Come along to Cafe 2773 in Glenbrook anytime between 9 and 11am to meet with other local mums who have a lived experience with perinatal mental health issues. Grab a slice of birthday cake while you're there!

Babies, kids, partners, support people... everyone welcome!

World Mental Health Day 2017

What a great event!

A big thank you to everyone who came!

We had a great turn out at our World Mental Health Day event.  The morning tea was delicious (especially the 1st anniversary cake for Furaha Mamas!), the conversation was positive and the vibe was one of support and care.

We were very lucky to hear from a volunteer speaker representing beyondblue - thank you so much Kirsten!

We also had Susan Templeman, Federal Member for Macquarie and Crn Mark Greenhill, Mayor of Blue Mountains City Council join us!

A big thank you everyone for joining in our conversation about mental health and celebrating the one year anniversary of Furaha Mamas and MUMS HELPING MUMS!
